2008年東京渋谷にて結成。
情熱的なダンスビートから生まれるグルーヴに、感情的なメロディー。歌は無くとも、それ以上に伝わる何かがそこにはあった。紡がれた音はジャンルという壁を乗り越え、シーンの彼方を切り拓く。
2017年6月3rd Album“NEWTOWN”リリース後、FUJI ROCK2018(FIELD OF HEAVEN stage)に出演を果たし、10周年ワンマンツアーを東京TSUTAYA O-EAST（ソールドアウト）、香港を含む全4カ所で開催。アジア圏でもワンマンツアー開催/野外フェス出演など精力的に活動し、2020月7月8日に3年ぶりに４th Album “VISTA”をリリース！
2020年9月より全国6か所を延期等を乗り越えtoconoma JAPAN TOUR “VISTAS”としてツアーを実施、2021年5月に渋谷TSUTAYA O-EASTにてファイナルを開催。8月には初のドキュメンタリーDVD“VISTAS”をリリースし既に生産分は完売。2021年8月にはSPECIAL OTHERSを招いての自主企画「TOCOJAWS（トコジョーズ）2021」を恵比寿GARDEN HALLにて開催しチケットは即完売。2022年2度目のFUJI ROKC FESTIVAL (FIELD OF HEAVEN stage)にも出演を果たす。
2023年結成15周年を迎えワンマンツアー「TOCONOVA」、8月には自身初となる日比谷野音公演を開催。
2024年11月には4年ぶり5枚目のAlbum“ISLAND”をリリース、2025年より国内外でのリリースツｱｰを開催、またシンガポール、インドネシアでの大型フェスに参加するなど自分たちのペースを保ちながら週末バンドとして活動中。
toconoma Formed in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2008. toconoma crafts a unique groove by blending passionate dance beats with evocative melodies. Even as an instrumental act, their sound resonates with a depth that transcends the need for lyrics—weaving together a sonic tapestry that defies genre boundaries and carves out new paths in the music scene.
Following the release of their 3rd album NEWTOWN in 2017, the band made a landmark appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’18 (Field of Heaven). They celebrated their 10th anniversary with a sold-out tour across four locations, including Tokyo’s TSUTAYA O-EAST and Hong Kong. Their influence has since expanded across Asia through successful headline tours and outdoor festival performances. In July 2020, they released their 4th album, VISTA.
Despite the challenges of the time, their 2020 “VISTAS” Japan tour culminated in a triumphant final show at Shibuya TSUTAYA O-EAST in May 2021. This was followed by their first documentary DVD, VISTAS, which sold out instantly. In August 2021, their self-curated event “TOCOJAWS 2021” featuring SPECIAL OTHERS at Ebisu Garden Hall sold out immediately, leading to their second appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in 2022.
In 2023, toconoma marked their 15th anniversary with the “TOCONOVA” tour and their first-ever solo concert at the historic Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. In November 2024, they released their 5th album, ISLAND, their first in four years. Now in 2025, they are embarking on a global release tour and performing at major festivals in Singapore and Indonesia—all while maintaining their unique identity as a “weekend band.”
